Week of Sunday May 20th

Posted yesterday ago by Gathering Network Team

Hello friends!

This is a friendly reminder that for the week of May 20th, we are meeting together with our Missional Communities.

May is an abiding and resting month for the Gathering Network, so if you are visiting an MC for the first time, be sure to double check with the contact to confirm the time and place.
You can get all the MC information you need at:
www.gatheringnetwork.org/missional-communities

We will be back together on Sunday May 27th at 5:00 p.m. for the  Celebration Service at Cedar Ridge!

Blessings!

The week of Sunday, May 6

Posted 15 days ago ago by Gathering Network Team

Hey Gathering Network—

"Love one another" appears 11 times in the new testament.

"One another" appears 54 times in the bible.

John says that God is Love ... and love should be the defining characteristic of all Christians.

Jesus said, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." —John 13:35

As the Gathering Network, we are asking God to use us to bring the good news of Jesus to our city. Therefore, we want to keep growing in our ability to develop loving and lasting relationships. To strengthen these "relationship muscles," this summer we will be focusing some of the teaching at our celebration services and discussions in our missional communities on learning to better live the loves of Jesus—love for God, love for one another, love for the world. Don't miss out!

Coming up:
Week of 5/6: Missional communities are gathering all over the city. Check schedules here!

Sunday May 13: Celebration service at 5pm at Cedar Ridge: Relationship Formation—Why is it hard to form deep friendships?

Grant Wood, Director of Resonate Relationship Clinic, will be teaching this night. Grant specializes in helping individuals, couples, and families in the areas of emotional, relational, social, and spiritual development.

No 61* Sunday morning May 13th due to Mother's Day and a busy May. (The next time 61 meets will be Sunday morning, June 10th.)

See ya at a missional community this week or at our next celebration service on May 13th!

"Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God."  Ephesians 5:1-2

*61 is for current leaders of the Gathering Network—those leading missional communities and discipleship groups—and for those wishing to be trained to do the same.
