3 loves
the 3 loves constantly remind us of Jesus
We believe the values Jesus lived his life by can be summarized in these three ways:
+love God +love Each Other +love the World
Love God
You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind, this is the first and greatest commandment. —Matthew 22: 37-40
Jesus has called us to a life of loving God with generous devotion in all things. Our hope is that all in the Gathering Network would be giving time every day to worship God, to learn about their identity in Christ, to read the scriptures, and to pray for their families, friends, and the world. We see that Jesus described love for God as loving people and obeying his commands.
Love Each Other
A second is equally important, ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ The entire law and all the prophets are based on these two commands. —Matthew 22: 37-40
Jesus taught us that our love for God is not real unless we love one another. Our love for each other is expressed in two ways: honoring each other in all things, and desiring to see each other become more like Jesus. We call this discipleship: a life-long journey of learning to live like Jesus.
Love the World
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. —Matthew 28: 19-20
Our mission is to share Jesus generously and always because we believe the message of Jesus brings healing and wholeness to brokenness everywhere it goes. Our lives have been profoundly impacted by the ministry of Jesus so we hope to humbly and sincerely offer that same ministry to the world.
